Chapter 13
Chapter 13
In Acocester, no one dared to speak to Anthony like that, let alone hit him.
Anthony was shocked by Genevieve’s action. It felt unfamiliar to him.
After the pain subsided, Anthony gradually straightened up. His face remained pale, and his deep eyes were dark with gloomy emotions.
When they were in a standoff, Jeffrey walked over from not far away, chuckled, and pinched Genevieve’s shoulder Intimately. “What are you two talking about?” he asked.
Genevieve raised her eyebrows, and her voice was Indifferent and lazy. She remarked, “Mr. Hoffman doubts my abilities at work. I advised him to mind his own business.”
“Don’t be so impudent,” said Jeffrey.
His tone was doting, and he looked at Anthony meaningfully.
*Mr. Hoffman, Genevieve is a top student who graduated from an Ivy League university. After graduation, she‘ worked in a famous group with outstanding capabilities. Her appointment as the director of Eagle Entertainment is well–deserved, Jeffrey
The two men looked at each other for a moment as if engaged in a silent competition.
Anthony was well aware of which group Genevieve worked for.
However, he slightly frowned after hearing Jeffrey’s words, thinking, “Ivy League?”
He had never heard of it.
Back then, when Genevieve’s information was presented to him, he did not even look at it. To put it bluntly, he did
not bother wasting time getting to know her.
However, Genevieve’s work capability was indeed outstanding and unimpeachable.
He habitually regarded her as a dispensable secretary and never had any intention of placing her in a more Important position.
Even though she had shielded him from countless attacks in Hoffman Group, he never cared.
Jeffrey greeted him and then took Genevieve away. Anthony did not stop them.
His eyes gradually darkened, and at this moment, a hint of complexity and gloom crept over his expression. His mood became slightly heavier.

Rosalie saw the entire scene clearly.
Her face turned pale, and her eyes were full of jealousy and unwillingness.
She thought, ‘Even after the divorce, Genevieve is still trying to seduce Anthony. How shameless can she bel
She absolutely could not allow them to have any chance of getting back together.
Genevieve went to the second floor to chat with another person.
She casually leaned on the railing, holding a glass of red wine. Her face was radiant, and she seemed at ease, chatting and laughing.
The position of the director of Eagle Entertainment was just a starting point.
Anthony was surrounded by people, so Rosalie managed to slip out of his sight and headed for the second floor.
As soon as the person in front of Genevieve left, she immediately approached.
She still displayed a pitiful demeanor, saying, “Genevieve, you’re so capable. Can I ask you for a favor?”
Genevieve glanced at her indifferently and impatiently, then looked away.
“What a killjoy!‘ she thought.
“Can you quit your job? Can’t you see that men don’t like strong women? If you go on like this, Jeffrey will get tired. of you sooner or later!” Rosalie said.
Genevieve glanced at her with a half–smile, her eyes filled with coldness.
“Do you think all men are as blind as Anthony? Would they be interested in useless and despicable women like you?” Genevieve retorted.
Rosalie’s face froze. Her delicate expression faded, and she stared angrily at Genevieve. She said, “Genevieve, you’re the one who intervened and ruined my relationship with Anthony. I’m just taking back what belonged to me. You’re the real mistress. How dare you blame me?”
Genevieve’s tongue rolled over the wine, swallowing it gently. The spiciness hit her throat, and her clear gaze
instantly turned icy.
She slowly stepped forward, her expression turning extremely cold, stating, “You killed my child on purpose.”
Rosalie’s eyes flashed, and a triumphant smile appeared on her face. She said, “That’s right. Anthony said he wouldn’t let other women bear a baby for him. He just wanted me to give birth to his child. So, I just did him a little
favor.”
She smiled and took a step back, reaching the stairs. Her eyes flashed with madness as she said, “Genevieve, as

soon as you two got married, Anthony and I got back together. You were kept in the dark like a fool. How can you compete with me? A child who should die dares to get in my way?”
The forgotten past was deliberately brought up.
Rosalie’s words stirred a storm of emotions in Genevieve’s calm heart.
She did not care about the humiliation brought about by Rosalie and Anthony
However, she could not tolerate Rosalie mocking her child with such an arrogant attitude.
Each of Rosalie’s words was like a knife, stabbing into Genevieve’s chest little by little, and the pain spread all over
her body.
She instantly raised her hand and struck Rosalie hard in the face.
As soon as the slap landed on Rosalie’s face, she fell backward
The next second, she rolled down the stairs.
Her scream echoed miserably throughout the banquet hall
Everyone looked at this scene in shock.
Anthony immediately rushed over after hearing the commotion. He looked up in astonishment at Genevieve, who
remained cold, and his eyes instantly darkened.
Rosalie leaned against Anthony’s arms in pain, her forehead covered in blood. She shook and cried, saying, “Ms Lawrence still blames me. It’s useless for me to apologize. She told me to disappear. I said I wanted to act, and she said I didn’t deserve it. Anthony, will she blacklist me?”
Anthony took a deep and complicated look at Genevieve.
Genevieve walked down the stairs gracefully and slowly. Her smile gradually widened when she heard Rosalie’s words. She said, “Why would I blacklist you, Ms. Stewart? You have the potential toNôvelDrama.Org (C) content.
be an actress. It would be a pity if you’re not acting.”
The entire scene was in an uproar
Genevieve was mocking Rosalie for being pretentious
Anthony frowned and looked at Rosalie’s miserable expression, a chill enveloping him.
He knew that Genevieve hated Rosalie and could do anything.
He was worried that if something happened to Rosalie, it would affect Genevieve as well. So, he said in a deep and restrained voice, “Genevieve, it’s my fault. If you need to vent, direct it at me. Don’t act impulsively!”

The child was gone. It hurt not only Genevieve but also him. After all, it was also his child.
What he was worried about then was that Genevieve might make even more uncontrolled decisions.
However, in Genevieve’s eyes, Anthony was afraid that something might happen to Rosalie, so he still spoke up for her even now.
Genevieve was not afraid.
She chuckled, a hint of malicious satisfaction flashing through her mind. She said fiercely, “It’s a pity she didn’t die. Next time, it won’t be a push from the second floor. And you! You should die with her!”
She did not explain further. After all, no one would believe her.
If Rosalie liked acting so much, then she would fulfill her desire.
Threats worked far better than explanations.
With that, she turned away in her high heels.
Genevieve’s powerful presence made the people in the scene not dare to ask any further questions.
The circle was accustomed to power and status. One was the newly appointed director of Eagle Entertainment, and the other was a kept woman who appeared out of nowhere.
Everyone knew whom they should side with.
There was a doctor on–site, and Anthony asked someone to take Rosalie to the lounge.
The banquet continued.
Jeffrey returned and heard what had just happened. His face darkened.

Genevieve went over and comforted him with a smile, “Don’t be angry, Jeffrey. She wouldn’t really hurt herself.”
Jeffrey’s voice was cold and filled with disgust as he said, “Disgusting.”
Genevieve went to the restroom halfway through.
When she came out, she was surprised to see Anthony standing there indifferently and nobly, waiting for her.
The corridor fell silent.
She
walked over with an unchanged expression, but Anthony grabbed her arm.
“Genevieve, stop doing these foolish things. Are you disregarding yourself now?” Anthony asked.

His tone was somewhat irritable. Looking at Genevieve’s indifferent attitude, he felt even more uncomfortable.
Genevieve shook off his hand in disgust. She responded, “I’ll be satisfied if she dies.”
