Chapter 16 Go to the Hospital with a Stomachache
“No matter how, break off the relationship between you and Alvin. I don’t care your feelings toward him, but a woman like you is not worthy of him. Understand?”
Peter had made it clear that he wanted Adriana to stay away from Alvin. He didn’t want either of them to retain any illusions.
Adriana had never thought that Peter would regard her as a bitch as such.
Even so, she had no choice.
However, she didn’t plan to build any relationships with Alvin even without Peter’s warning, or she wouldn’t have avoided Alvin after returning to Waverly.
“Okay.” Adriana said with a smile, ridiculing herself.
Then she walked to the sofa and took out her phone. Regardless of the burning pain in her stomach, she checked her phone book. However, there were only her clients. Nearly none of them can be a trusted friend.
She was a little sad. Her life was such a mess.
It seems that every day she was earning money. She didn’t have friends.
Shaking her head helplessly, she dropped her head, propped her elbows on her knees and cried. But she had to be well even though she was aggrieved.
Then she called Vivian and asked her to come in twenty minutes.
After hanging up the phone, Adriana leaned back on the sofa, “I will do what I should do within half an hour. Please keep your word, Mr. Alston.
“Stay away from Theresa and Luis, or I will take measures.” Although Adriana hadn’t known her relationship with Luis yet, Peter was afraid that she was mercenary.
“Okay.” said Adriana.
Staring vacantly at the coloured lights spinning on the ceiling, she was a little drowsy.
She thought that she would live a good life back here after many years, but she met Peter.
Her life became a mess in two days.
None of them said anything.
Ten minutes later, noise came from outside the door. Adriana was a little drunk, so she staggered to the door and opened it. Then she saw Vivian. A man was standing beside her.
He was Kenny, working at the business department of her company.
“Hey, honey, you are back!” she gestured a look at Vivian.
Vivian pushed Kenny, who was a bit frothy, “Go!”
“Ah.” Kenny walked toward Adriana and held her hand. Adriana leaned into his arms and said, “Why are you back, honey? Aren’t you abroad?”
In order to let Alvin trust her, Adriana had to fabricate a “husband”.
“I’m worried about you, so I came here. Let’s go, our daughter is waiting for you.” Kenny forced himself to be calm, straining his neck, and stiffly wrapped around Adriana’s waist.
“Really? Helen is also back?”
In order to disconnect from Alvin as soon as possible, she had to do that.
“Your daughter is crying. She wants you. Come on, let’s go home.” Kenny said to the man beside him, “Have a good time, we will go.”Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
Adriana leaned her head on Kenny’s chest and waved her hand at Alvin.
She had already thought of what to say, but seeing that he was incredulous and disappointed, I was too sad to say a word.
Realizing that something was wrong, Vivian poked Adriana’s waist to remind her.
Adriana withdrew her thoughts and waved her hand at Alvin, “See you, Alvin. We’ll go back. Let’s have a meal tomorrow, three of us.”
Kenny nodded and said, “See you tomorrow.”
Then they walked out of the bar.
And at that moment, Peter, who walked out at some point, patted Alvin’s shoulder, “I told you, she is not a good woman. Stay away from her later, she has husband and child, don’t bother with other people’s lives.”
If Peter hadn’t known about Adriana’s arrangement in advance, he might have thought that she already had a family.
Alvin was angry and said. His desperation could be seen.
“Come on, let’s hava a drink.” Peter put his arm around him and walked into the box.
Adriana walked out of the bar and vomited.
Vivian handed her a tissue and a bottle of water.
Adriana nodded to Kenny and said, “Thank you, it’s late. Go home, please.”
She stumbled and walked with a wobble towards her car.
Vivian said to Kenny, “Go home, please. I’ll take her home.”
When Vivian got into the car, she found Adriana, who was sitting on the passenger side, leaning against the passenger car seat with tears in her eyes, looking miserable and pitiful.
“Are you okay, Miss Hale?” Vivian asked.
Adriana shook her head, “Nothing. I’m happy. We aren’t in trouble anymore.”
She hid the bitterness in her heart.
“Really? Gosh, that’s great. You are a hero!”Vivian was extremely happy. She drove to where Adriana lived and took her to her room.
Then Vivian left.
Adriana went to bed early, but in the middle of the night she threw up.
She woke up, having a stomachache. Not able to bear it, she decided to go to the hospital.
But God is always so teasing.
She walked out of the room and pressed the lift, and the lift came down.
She stepped into the lift and found a man standing there.
