Subtitle: My Contract Marriage
Written by: Marvy Hyacinth
“Miss, are you OK?” Sharon asked in concern.
“Yeah, I am,” April replied.
“Why would you ask that anyway?” April asked.
“You suddenly blanked out,” Sharon said.
“Oh…” April made her lips into a small O.
“If that’s all, you can return to your desk.”
“OK miss,” Sharon replied and she was about to take a step towards the door when the door opened.
A figure walked in with a smile and April looked at him in disgust.
“Where have you been?” April shot at him.
Sharon took this as a cue to leave, and she did.
“Downstairs, making your coffee.” The guy replied.
“For over half an hour. I see you don’t like your job again.”
“Come on, I do.” The guy answered.
“Wow, Justin. Wow.”
“What’s it?” Justin asked.
“Me being benevolent and giving you a job as my PA doesn’t give you the right to talk to me casually,” April stated.
“What about… You know?” Justin said and winked at her.
“Last night?” He completed.
“What?” April asked shocked.
“Last night. The way you were writhing under me on the bed. Have you forgotten so soon?” Justin smirked as he dropped the cup of coffee on April’s desk.
April stood up and before he could say, Jack! April slapped him.
“What’d you do that for?” Justin asked.
“I told you what happened last night was nothing but a mistake. And for the records, nothing ever happened between us.” April glared.
“If you want to keep denying it, fine. I don’t know why you regret what happened last night, but I don’t.” Justin said with glints of sincerity in his eyes.
“Why would you? You fvcking seduced me fool.” April shouted.
Sharon’s eyes were glued to April’s office door. From outside, she could see they were something tense they were discussion and If not for soundproof, she’d have heard everything.
“I admit I did, but it was something you wanted too,” Justin said.
“I didn’t. I was intoxicated.” April replied.
“Well, the way your nails dogged into my back didn’t show you didn’t enjoy it.”
“Stop it,” April warned.
“I already told you how I felt about you last night. Why won’t you admit yours to me?”
“That’s because I feel nothing for you .”
“You’re lying.” Justin accused.
“Get out of my office,” April said.
“Apr…”
Justin was cut off.
“Get out of my office… Now!!!” April screamed.
“Alright. Fine.” Justin said and walked away.
“I’ll be one call away if you need me back.” He said before closing the door behind him.
April plopped down on the chair and massaged her forehead lightly.
Slowly, she flashed back to last night.

I was to go see a VVIP about business at 8 pm in a five-star hotel.
You may be asking…
Why is a hotel?
Well, the thing is the person was very private, and she wanted to buy, rebrand some of my restocked goods, and sell them as hers.
Well, I had no problem with that.
It was just a one sales thing, and the money I’d gain was very much.
I also knew the public would still love to buy my company’s products because it was trusted and branded.
The lady on the other hand was just a mistress whose baby’s daddy gave her some cash and she wanted to venture into cosmetics under her ‘unknown’ brand.
So, the gains were at my side, and it wasn’t like I was going to do this twice.
So why not?
I was to come with a secretary, but since I had a PA unlike Anderson who employed Becky as both a secretary and PA, I decided I’d go with my PA.
Mainly because I trusted him more and he was closer.
We went together from work to the hotel in my car.
My driver drove both of us to the Hotel where I was to meet with the VIP.
We got there, and after exchanging goods with cash, the lady left.
I was too tired to go home, so I checked into a hotel room and went up for the night while Justin went to his.
Right after I showered, my phone beeped and I realized it was a message from Justin.
“Why would he text me? It’s already late.”
I thought.
I unlocked my phone and read his text.
Are you sleepy yet?
☞ Not really. Why are you texting?
☞ Just because…
☞ OK.
☞ Did you shower?
☞ Just did. You?
☞ Came out about 10 minutes ago.
☞ And you couldn’t sleep?
☞ Yeah.
☞ Why?
It was at this point I fvcked up because things went extreme from here.
In a boss-employee way, it was OK… I mean, the welfare of my employees is important to me, because anything affecting them indirectly affected me.
But Justin didn’t reason this way and took advantage of the situation.
☞ I was thinking of you
“Wtf!” I screamed in my head.
“Why’d he be thinking of me?” I thought.
☞ About…?
☞ About how beautiful you are.
☞ I don’t mean to sound dumb, but what do you mean?
☞ Why don’t you meet me downstairs at the bar let’s pick up a few drinks?
☞ it’s late already.
☞ You’re not refusing me right? It’s just a bottle.
☞ OK then. I guess one bottle won’t hurt.
☞ Waiting…
I stared at his last text in confusion.
“Should I go or not?” I debated inside me.
I finally decided to go and pulled a casual shirt over my head and wore shorts stopping just at the end of my butt.
“Hey…” I said as I slipped onto a seat in front of the bar counter.
“Hey…” He replied.
“Red or white wine?” He asked.
“Red.”
“A bottle of red wine please.” He had said to the barman.
“So what did you want to talk about?” I asked him as I took a sip from my wine glass.
“So…” He went on and on.
He made it clear to me that he admired and loved me.
I didn’t know what went down, but I remembered him thrusting deep inside me in my hotel room.
I woke up in the morning with him beside me on my bed.
Seeing myself naked, I realized what happened the other night, and thinking of how I fell so cheaply for a guy not from my class, I remembered I had a low tolerance for alcohol and red wine.
So… That’s all that happened.
I even told him to think of it as a one-night stand and not say a word of it to anyone.
I freshened up and before leaving for my house for a fresh set of clothes, I dropped some money on the bed as his payment before finally leaving.
