Chapter 5: Bad couples

Chapter 5: Bad couples

Opening her eyes, and she found there was a white ceiling over her head. She could smell the distinct smell of the hospital in her nose. The private room was large and there were televisions and magazine shelves opposite the bed.

She had meant to only get a check-up at the hospital, but she unexpectedly ended up in a bed.

A young nurse put pills on her bedside table when she saw her wake up.

“Miss Lin, it’s nothing serious, you can go to complete the discharging forms tomorrow.”

Lucy had a glance at the black pills.

She hated staying at the hospital and eating pills.

“You were claustrophobic. Remember to carry a micro flashlight in case this kind of emergency happens again, it’s not all the time that you will meet as warmhearted a person as William George.

Lucy got annoyed by herself, for a warmhearted person would not violate her when an elevator broke down.

Such a ‘warmhearted’ person she would rather never meet again in her life.

When she mentioned William, the nurse was full of delight and admiration in her face. “Have a rest again and then eat the pills, you will be okay.”

Lucy did not notice the change in the nurse’s expressions, and stared at the ceiling in silence, the fact was that he had abused her.

Lucy woke up, which meant that the nurse finished her tasks. It was unnecessary for the nurse to look after her, so she pushed open the door to leave.

Lucy did not dare to tell her mother what had happened in the hospital, or her mother would find the hickeys on her neck, which would be even worse. NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

What she was afraid of was not her mother’s blame, but her blather. Even she would ask her to take him home.

She could not remember what he looked like, and it was impossible to find a person at will.

As for other relatives, it was also unnecessary to keep them informed. She did not want to trouble others, so she stayed at the hospital all night.

There were sounds coming from her stomach.

She was so hungry and had not eaten anything, because she ran to the hospital from the hotel first thing upon waking up.

Lucy got up, and felt feeble, but had no problem walking.

When she left the private room, she could see the elevator which filled her with anxiety and dread. She shivered and then thought to herself it would better to take the stairs.

The lucky thing was that there was a market around the hospital.

She bought some bread and water, and then thought if she had to stay there one more night, she should buy some toiletries. She resided in a private room with a bathroom. She had to take a shower, for she had had sex the night before. There was a 750ml tube of shower gel on the shelves, and she bought it.

It was not waste, for she could take them home as well.

She heard a spoiled voice coming from close by.

“I said I was fine, but you still brought me here.”

She looked over and watched a beautiful young girl standing with a familiar shadow.

Tall and thin, handsome and gentle, even his smiling expression was the same as before.

“You said that your stomach was uncomfortable, obviously I would take you to the hospital.”

The woman got closer to him and continued to act like a spoiled child, “I told you before that my periods change and you should take me here, but as you can see, the doctor laughed at me.”

Byron Wilson held the woman in his arms, “I was so worried about you! It would break my heart if you had a problem.

Lucy felt her chest become very painful after hearing their dialogue, because Byron had once said the same words to her in the same tone.

Another image flashed through her mind instantly.

They were covered with snow, and Byron didn’t hold her hand like he once had. “Lucy, we should break up, I don’t want to continue to waste time. You weren’t the one that saved me.” He said in a cold voice.

His words felt like ice to her bones, colder than the northern winter.

She liked him, which was an innocent affection without any real intentions.

She finally understood that Byron mistook her for someone else, and he thought Lucy had saved his life.

Byron realized Lucy was not the person he was looking for, so he broke her heart without any emotion.

Byron raised his head.

Lucy had no clue what to do, and hurried to pull the door next to her in the hallway, then dodged behind the door.

Lucy lay against the door, very nervous, and completely ignored where he was.

It was not a guilty conscience, actually, but she did not want to look into his indifferent eyes again.

A deepened and coarsened voice came from behind her back. “You want to finish what you started?”

A figure closed in on her and put her in custody between his arms. In front of her was the door and behind her were people, so there was no way she could escape.
