“I’ll share the locations with you,” Ethan said. After hanging up, he shared the location while simultaneously dismissing Amelia.
Amelia left reluctantly and unhappily, but Ethan had little sympathy for her. After all, he still had a lot to do, such as reconfirming the menu with the restaurant and selecting some dishes that Roxanne liked.
Meanwhile, Gideon tossed Margaret onto a chair. If she hadn’t worn pants, everyone in the restaurant would have gotten an eyeful under her
dress.
After not seeing him for a few years, Margaret felt he had become much more arrogant and unreasonable.
The waiter passed over two menus with a professional smile, as if he hadn’t seen anything.
Margaret didn’t order anything, but Gideon ordered two identical meals according to his preference and a tiramisu for Margaret.
When Gideon deliberately emphasized tiramisu, Margaret felt a stab of emotion in her heart.
She smiled wryly as she turned to stare at the night–time scenery outside the window. ‘Gideon is truly a good manipulator. Though he doesn’t love me, he can still remember some little things and touch my heart, she thought.
Margaret had never celebrated her birthday since she started living in the Lambert residence. She still remembered Roxanne’s love and obsession with tiramisu at that time, so she was also curious about its taste.
Once, Margaret unintentionally revealed her past focation. Since then, Gideon had never forgotten to order tiramisu whenever he asked her out, conveying through his actions that he could give her anything she wanted as long as she was obedient.
To her surprise, she felt a little nostalgic as she recalled those years when she had been a good pet. I’m going insane. It took nearly a year to eliminate Gideon’s impact on my dreams. Will all my efforts be in vain one day? Margaret thought
Gideon’s patience was commendable. They sat in silence for twenty minutes, and only when the appetizers were about to be served did he ask, “Are you planning not to speak to me?”
Margaret dismissed her thoughts and said emotionlessly while staring at the table, “Thank you for the meal, Mr. Compton.”
“You’re welcome,” he replied.
“it was my fault for leaving without saying goodbye back then. Please treat this meal as an apology to you, Mr. Compton, Margaret said, thinking they should split peacefully after this last meal.
“Maggie, you’re getting good at scheming. But I don’t plan to let you go,” Gideon said.
*Maggie.
“Could it be that you truly want to rekindle an old flame? I remember you telling me back then never to return if I dared to leave,” Margaret remarked, concentrating on the tug–and–pull with Gideon. This man still has a lot of influence on me. If I get distracted, I might fall into a trap,” she thought.
“It’s never over between us. How can you be considered an old flame?” he argued.
*State your condition. What do you need to let me go?” Margaret asked, her patience gradually disappearing. She couldn’t calmly face Gideon or negotiate with him in roundabout ways.
Gideon smiled. ‘After five years, Margaret i still so nalve, I don’t lack anything now, only her, he thought. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Five years ago, Gideon suffered a serious setback with Margaret. It was time for him to get it back.

“Gideon…” A girl called Gideon’s name, which made Margaret shiver. She didn’t need to look back to know who it was
No one but Roxanne would call Gideon with that tone. When Margaret heard it in the past, she longed to ask Roxanne if she had ever been a bawd in ancient times. There was no difference between her call and a bawd shouting. “Sir!”
Margaret lowered her head and began to concentrate on eating. For the first time, she thought it was fortunate that Roxanne appeared. If she could take Gideon away, Margaret might genuinely treat her as a benefactor in the future.
“Have you finished shopping?” Gideon asked as if concerned. He wasn’t pleased with Roxanne’s sudden appearance, but his expression revealed nothing.
