YOU MAKE MY DAY
Samarra was irritated and went downstairs to the kitchen to get some water. She tries to remain calm when Zachary refuses what she has given him.
She sees nothing wrong with giving him a gift. They are married, and this is a belated wedding present. According to CHUM’S, who she saw on the internet, the two people should have given each other a gift before getting married. When she and Ezekiel decided to go to Singapore, she immediately looked up what the bride usually gives the groom, and the watch was near the top of the list. She didn’t do it yesterday, even though they were tired and hungry. What matters is that they can go to Marina Square and buy the latest watch. Then return him to her. Not even to express gratitude. She felt rejected, which she had never felt before. Right now.
She placed the glass on the table and walked around the kitchen. When she is upset, she goes for a walk to clear her mind. When Samarra couldn’t calm down, she decided to lock herself in the study room. She called her parents first. She had already turned to her laptop and began working. Despite her trust in Ezekiel and Jameson’s management, she hasn’t been able to take care of her business for a month. But it’s not enough if she expects everything. After all, she still has two days before school starts.
She worked all morning and sent emails to Ezekiel and Jameson. She has also directed that sales take place in the upcoming Ber months. She was about to finish when she felt pain in her neck. She is hungry already, but she ignores it. Because she wants to complete the work she began today.
She finished everything she was doing around three o’clock in the afternoon. She signed the ones that needed to be signed after sending everything that needed to be shipped. She tucked everything away and shut down her laptop. She decided to leave once she was sure that the study room was tidy and clean.
“Oh my God!” She rubbed her chest in surprise as she opened the door to leave and saw Zachary standing there.
“I haven’t eaten, and I’m sure you haven’t either. I would have knocked on the door if you hadn’t come out. Let us eat. I had already prepared our lunch.”
She was taken aback when Zachary held her hands and led her to the kitchen. She helped him sit in the chair. When Zachary placed sinigang pork and rice on the table, Samarra swallowed. When she smelled the aromas of food, her stomach grumbled.
“What is going on? Did you drink any holy water? Are you being nice to me? Do you have any bad plans for me?” She frowns and, concerned, asks Zachary.
Zachary laughed while placing his hand on his stomach. There appeared to be something funny about what she said.
“Ara, you make my day. I will not plan or do anything to harm you. Relax. Okay!”
She rolled her eyes. “Whatever.”
Samarra immediately stood up after eating and allowed Zachary to clear the table.
“Ara, where are you going?”RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Samarra stopped and turned to face Zachary, waving and meeting his brows as he looked at her intently.
“Upstairs?” Despite her confusion at Zachary’s questioning, Samarra responded.
“Who will do the dishes?”
She shook her head.
“Look, I’m the one who prepares the food. Shouldn’t you be doing the dishes?” Zachary confronted her. That made her brow furrow.
Who says you have to cook it?
She let out a sigh before facing up and walking closer to Zachary.
“Next time, don’t cook.” Annoyed, she arranged all the wash and was forced to wash. When she glanced at Zachary, she could see his big grin as he looked at her. She glared at him and hurried to finish washing. She wanted to take a bath and sleep.
After Samarra could wash the plate, she immediately confronted Zachary, sitting in front of her.
“Aww! What is your fucking problem?” He stood up when she punched him in the stomach.
Zachary seems to have taken it seriously because of the look on his face that hurt him.
“Let me remind you. You told your parents that we don’t need a maid here. I remember you told your parents. That, you can do the house chores. Then you want me to wash and cook for you,” she teased and left.
She was irritated by Zachary’s actions. She loathes people who start something but don’t finish it before passing it on to others.
She continued her walk up to the room. As soon as she entered, she went straight inside the bathroom to take a bath. She felt her energy run out in the wash.
She would rather throw her in an on-the-spot meeting in front of her Daddy Frost investors than do housework. Fuck! She’s not housewife material.
She went out of the bathroom. She went straight to Zachary’s cabinet and took a t-shirt she wore. She sat on the bed, removed the towel from her hair, and threw it somewhere. She lay down and closed her eyes.
Zachary’s thoughts were jumbled at the time. He didn’t know what to do with Samarra anymore. He was joking about Samarra washing the plate. Otherwise, it’s okay with him if Samarra refuses.
He didn’t understand why Samarra would agree to wash the dishes but punched him. Fortunately, he had prepared his stomach before Samarra’s fist landed on it.
Zachary was gasping as he approached the staircase when he heard the doorbell ring. He realized he wasn’t going to have any visitors. Despite his confusion, he went to their door. He was so taken aback that five helpers arrived.
“Sir, Ma’am, Lorraine has instructed that the laundry be done.”
He nodded and pushed the door even wider open. In the laundry room, he joined the team.
“Do you mind if I bring them all to get the other laundry?”
The three appeared almost immediately.
They went straight to the main bedroom. Zachary pushed open the door. He noticed Samarra lying down with her dress hem slightly raised.
He swallowed when he saw his wife’s pink underwear. He took a step forward the body. He closed the door before facing his companions.
“Ah, stay here,” he said to the helpers.
He entered and quickly closed the door. He took a step closer to Samarra. He gently drew the comforter over Samarra’s body.
“Tsk. “You’re good at littering, but cleaning is very lazy,” he said as he picked up the towel. He also picked up the clothes he had folded before opening the door.
“Enter quietly and quietly. My wife is sound asleep.” He flung open the door and let the three helpers in. They rush over to get the laundry basket. He took those from the paper bag. He double-checks that all dirty clothes are in the laundry basket. He also assisted them in carrying the paper bags.
“Here.” He handed them money, which the older teammate immediately refused.
“Sir, don’t,” Helper said, declining the money he offered.
“It’s all right; please accept it. And this is yet another extension of your responsibilities.” He persisted and reached out to thousands of them. They exchanged glances before accepting what he was offering. They expressed gratitude to him.
“Come here every Saturday to wash our clothes,” he explained as he prepared to leave.
He also stated that if they are hungry or thirsty, they are welcome to go into the kitchen and get some food as long as they wash and clean their utensils.
He immediately took a bath upon entering, and when he was done, he lay down next to Samarra.
