CHAPTER 3
ANITA'S POV
Driving to Evergreen Academy took me so many hours. By the time I was arriving, it was already dusk. This was my only escape. The only boarding school that would take me in. I didn't have a home to go back to. I couldn't continue staying in the pack. I had to do something about everything that had happened and that is why I promised myself two things while driving inside the gates of Evergreen Academy.
I was going to learn how to fight. Their Alpha, Alpha Robin was known to be the best fighter in the region. Alpha Lewis was nothing in comparison to him. Once I become a good fighter, a warrior, I will go back to avenge my sister's death. I was not going to lose my focus. Nothing would matter to me, except these important things. I have always looked forward to falling in love but not again. My sister died because of love. There is no good outcome when it comes to love. I was welcomed once again by an omega. The school was huge, the dorms were on one side, the classes on the other and a massive field and garden. The Alpha had his own personal quarters away from everyone else. The omega told me that I was not going to see the Alpha anytime soon. The Beta is the one who would interview me the next morning. The Alpha was too busy training and fighting to remain at the top of the game. He didn't have time to welcome all the new members who were joining the pack.
I did not have a problem with that. What matters was that I was welcomed into the pack. Right now I felt safe, at least I was sure that Alpha Lewis was not going to come after me.
"My name is Ben, I will be here for you in case you need me," Ben told me after he took me to the dorms and handed me the keys.
"Thank you," I said before getting into my room and locking myself in. It had been a long day for me. I needed to process what had just happened and rest too.
I stayed in my room just staring into space for a couple of minutes. I was still in shock but trying my best to be okay. It's not everyday that you walk into your safe place, your home and find the person you love so much taking their last breath. It was a lot for me to take in.
I was exhausted. I decided to tuck myself in bed hoping that I would sleep but I had a strange nightmare. I was seated at home, watching TV as usual when Emma came in, she was covered in blood and wearing the same clothes that she was murdered in.
"You betrayed me Anita!" She said angrily before rushing out through the back door. I did not have the time to explain myself to her.
I woke up only to find that I was sweating profusely. I hadn't closed my blinds so the moon shone brightly, threatening to blind my vision.
Tracey, if you are in there, please wake up. I need you, I cannot do this alone.
I try to summon her but I don't get any response from her. She had left me alone.
The nightmare bothered me. I would never betray my sister. Instead, I was ready to fight for her so that she gets the vengeance that she deserves. I was never ever going to let her down. I was going to fight all her battles. It was never going to be about me, not anymore. Just her.
I try going back to sleep but I am unable to. I keep on tossing and turning. Clearly, I was not going to sleep.
I was also in a new environment and this added to my tension.
Sitting alone in my room was only going to make me overthink yet that is not what I wanted. I had to go out there for a walk hoping that I would be able to calm my racing thoughts and in return I would fall asleep.
I wore a black hoodie, locked my door and headed out. On my way out however, I overheard girls talking about how they are madly in love with the Alpha, how his physique alone turns them on.
I wished that I could warn the girls about how badly love affairs can turn out to be based on my sister's stories but I couldn't. I could only use that information on myself, I was going to ensure that I never fall in love, ever.
A person can love you today but end up hating you tomorrow. The line between love and hate can be very thin and that is exactly what happened to my sister.
The cold night chills hit my fave making me shiver a bit. I however liked it, so I decided to walk around the school and just familiarise myself with the place. This was going to be my home in the next couple of months.
I was walking around the dorms when I felt a movement behind me. I looked back but there was no one in sight. I quickly discarded the thought that someone was following me. It could be my brain playing tricks on me because of the Alpha Lewis threat.
I heard the same movement behind me, I turned back there was no one.
I could feel it. This was not in my head. Someone was stalking me. It had to be Alpha Lewis, he was the only one with the intention of killing me.
I screamed in horror as I ran towards the dorm but then I saw his dark wolf before he turned and stood in front of me. I had never seen him before but I knew that it was him. He was Alpha Robin. The powerful Alpha Robin who was feared throughout the region.
"Why didn't you summon your wolf for her to know that you are safe? This is a safe place and I will punish you if you scream again the next time!" He ordered but I wasn't listening.

I was lost in all that beauty that I saw in front of me. His hair, his chin, his nose, his big bright eyes. His shoulders, his chest, his powerful legs. He was handsome in every aspect and most importantly his voice. I now understood that falling in love was not a choice, it just happens. I had just met him but I could feel the deep desire to get to know him more.
"Have you heard me?" He asked again, raising his voice when he realised that I was barely paying any attention. My eyes were taking up and down his body like a horny teenager. I was practically undressing him with my eyes. "Forgive me," I said.
"You must be new around here. I have not seen you before," He said.
"Yes, my name is Anita. I am very pleased to meet you Alpha Robin," I said, stretching my hand to greet me but he totally ignored me.
"Don't walk outside at night. It is in the rule book. If I find you out at this time, I will punish you," He said before transforming to his wolf and running away.
I was left staring towards the direction that he had disappeared to.
Something in me had shifted. What is going on with me? What is it about him that I cannot resist?
