He was about to leave when he finally noticed my presence. He looked shocked and scared. Wait.. why was he scared when he just slaughtered a human being.
“Selina.” I heard him call.
I stared at him in fear and horror. My legs that couldn’t move at first started to feel weak. My eyes felt really heavy.
“Selina??” He called again.
Before I knew it, my body gave up and I collapsed on something warm.
“Quick get the doctor!!” I heard Damian say before I finally lost consciousness.
***********************
Damian was able to catch her before she fell flat on the floor. He held her unconscious body in fear.
“Quick get the doctor.” He panicked.
Grey left in search of the doctor while he took her to the room.
He laid her gently on the bed as he waited impatiently for the doctor to arrive.
“What took you so long?” He asked angrily when Grey rushed breathlessly into the room. He was followed by a male doctor.
“I came as fast as I could.” The doctor replied.
“Is she the patient?” He asked.
“Do I look like I’m in need for medical care?” Damian asked. Eveey word having a hint of sarcasm.
The doctor took that as his cue and went to check on the unconscious Selina while Damian paced to and fro worriedly.
“What was she doing there at that time. I thought she went to the room. ” Damian aaked himself.
“More importantly, did she see what I did? I hope not. I don’t get why she’s just too nosy.” Damian thought in frustration.
“What’s wrong with her?” Damian asked the doctor when he started to get really impatient.
“It’s nothing serious. Actually, there is nothing wrong with her.” The dictor answered as he turned to face Damian.
“Why did she faint then?” Damian asked.
“It’s just due to stress and fright. It seems like she’s been very frightened lately because her blood pressure is high.” The doctor said.
“So, will she be okay?” Damian asked.
“Yes. Just make sure to feed her these drugs both morning and evening.” He placed some pills on the nightstand.
“And make sure she eats well. Possibly a full three square meal daily. Also, most of it should be vegetables.” The doctor adviced.
“Hmmm.” Damian grunted as he fixed his gaze mainly on her.
“Since that’s all, I’ll take my leave then.” The doctor announced.
“Escort him out Grey.” Damian ordered, his eyes not leaving Selina’s figure.
“This way.” Grey said as he directed the doctor out.
Damian sighed as he sat down on the sofa beside the bed. He leaned in and pushed away the strands of hair blocking her face.
“Thank goodness you’re alright.” He muttered as he stroked her cheek.
He still couldn’t get over the feeling he felt when he saw her staring at him in horror.
He felt really scared as if she had caught him doing something he wasn’t supposed to do. Even though that’s how he is.
He always gets thrilled when he kills someone. But when she gave him that look, the thrill was not there anymore.
He has never felt that way before. No one has made him feel like that before but she did. With just one look.
It made him fell really bad. His heart felt really heavy.
He held her small hands with his large ones as he watched in contentment as slept peacefully.
“I just hope she would be this peacefully when she wakes up.” He muttered as he continued staring at her.

Some voices disturbed my sleep so I woke up. I look around but couldn’t recognize my surroundings.
It was really dark.
“Where am I?” I wondered.
Suddenly, the pitch black room became bright. I closed my eyes due to the sudden light but opened it after a few seconds.
I looked around and noticed that I was in an alley. The same one I met Damian.
“What am I doing here. The last thing I remembered was.. was…. Damian slaughtering a human being..” I thought in fear.
“Since I’m in that alley.. maybe I’ll be able to go back home.” I thought before I started running back to my apartment.
After running for a while, I became tired and stopped to take a breather. I looked up and realised that I was back to the same spot.
What the hell?? I just ran in circles. I was starting to panick. Suddenly, I saw someone. I was surprised because the person wasn’t there before.
The person had his back facing me. It seemed like a man because he had broad shoulders. Maybe he could show me some direction because this alley is starting to ferl like a maze.
I mustered up courage and walked towards him.
“Excuse me mister.” I tapped him on his back but he didn’t react.
“Okay.. that’s weird.” I thought but ignored it.
“Please, I’m lost. Can you show…..” My words were caught in my throat when he finally turned to face me.
It was Damian and he was covered in blood all over his body. He was holding a dagger and glaring at me.
I moved back in fear. Before I could run away, he raised the dagger in an attempt to stab me.
“Arghhhh!!!!” I screamed in fear and closed my eyes.
“Wake up Selina!!” I heard before fluttering my eyes open.
There, I saw Damian staring at me in worry. His face was almost close to mine.
I looked around and sighed in relief when I noticed I was still in Damian’s mansion.
It was all a dream? Thank goodness. I never thought I would for once be relieved to be here.
“Are you okay?” Damian’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I gasped and pushed away before jumping off the bed.
“What’s wrong?” He asked in confusion.
“You killed him.” I muttered in fear.
“You saw it all?” He asked back.
“Yes I did. I saw how you mutilated that innocent man.” I answered
“Innocent??” He scoffed.
“What makes you think he’s innocent?” Damian asked.
“Whatever he did wasn’t enough for you to slaughter a human like that. Don’t you have a conscience?” I asked angrily.
I don’t know why I’m suddenly getting so worked up instead of being scared. He could literally kill me any moment.
“Are you just noticing that I don’t?” He asked with a grin on his face.
“You animal!!” I screamed hysterically as I used me hands to hit his chest.
He quickly caught my hands and held it tightly.
“Don’t push it. There’s always a limit to everything.” He warned.
I quickly freed myself from him.
“Let me go then.” I said.
“I don’t want to.” He answered.
“Why? Why can’t you just keave me alone. I beg of…..”This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
“Because you are mine Selina. Whether you like it or not, I own you. You had better realise your reality because it’s never going to change.” He said.
My eyes suddenly became teary. Hus expression softened but it was only for a split second.
“Get some rest ” He muttered before leaving the room.
I laid down on the bed sadly. When would I finally be free??
