Chapter 6
The sun cast its rays brightly on him, he slowly opened his eyes, following the beam of the light, and he immediately shut his eyes, yawning aloud, he was fully awake to notice another peaceful breathing, he turned his gaze to her, she was gracefully sleeping with the sunlight radiating her beauty the more, already lost in her beauty, he had to leave and it was not going to be good of she wakes up to meet him here.
Gently removing her grip from his waistline he quickly slides into his trousers and wears his shirt, grabbing his keys, he walked out of her world.
The sound from the bolting door, jolted her from her deep sleep, she turned to tighten her grip but the emptiness of the space, hugged her delicate hands, she quickly opened her eyes to see a space, the bed was still warm,
Meaning he had just left not quite long,
“Shit!! What the f…? She sprung up, tying the duvet around her chest, rushing to the door, but the face of the room service greeted her Instead,
“Good morning ma’am, this is room service and I’m here to clean up” the lady smiled, Sydney faked a smile,
“Uhmm… I won’t be needing your services for now…? Did you see the young man I signed in with last night?” Her eyes grazed through for answers, as she clutched her duvet.
“Oh? He left not quite long.” Confused the lady looked at her, wondering what relationship she had with the handsome duke that just left the premises.
Smiling through gritted teeth, “ok, I’ll call when I need you” she banged the door closed before the lady could reply,
Images and flashbacks from the previous night clouded her reasoning,
“Make Love to me!” She heard her moaning and the intense thrust that all took place that night on the same bed she was staring at,
She didn’t even get to know, who he was or where she could find him, and just like that, that was how she slept with a mysterious man only familiar with her memories but not physically familiar with them.
She walked into the bathroom, turned on the shower knob, and let the water wash her and keep her sane enough. Memories coming back, the shower sex to the bedroom sex, all in one memory,
“Snap out of it Sydney!” She cautioned herself out of frustration.
After a long shower she, put on her dress from last night, and like that she left the room, walking out of the room the bar was already empty and virtually everyone had left the clubhouse.
Flagging down a taxi, she decided to go home instead,
“Where to ma’am?” The driver almost in his forties asked,
“Bentley 24th street by yellow duke” she grunts resting her head almost drifting off to sleep before the drive began.

Author’s POV
The home of the Whites, was merely quiet when the G- wagon jeep drove in, the maidservants and butler stood by the door to welcome their boss, Paxton stepped out of the air-conditioned car as the evening breeze caressed his face, he was exhausted from the day’s work and all that was written on his delicate face was all tiredness.
Paxton’s POV
“You’re welcome, Young master.” The butler grabbed his suitcase heading upstairs,
“Where’s Jaxton? He didn’t report to the office throughout today? Did he drop by here at the mansion?” My deep voice echoed, with authority and poise.
The butler looked at the maidservants the look didn’t go unnoticed by me, for sure Jaxton had not returned from wherever he went to
“Where’s he?” I requested again.
“He hadn’t come home since last night, Young master” the butler replied with his face down, I sigh then turned to the chef,
“Get my dinner ready,” I climbed the stairs heading to my room, unbuckling the first button of my suit.
Shortly, I came down after I had freshened up and dressed in my casuals, the dinner was ready,
I sat down to grab it when he walked in,
“Hey bro? I looked at him,Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
“Where have you been, Jaxton?” I asked,
“Not now ok” he smirked and walked upstairs, I sigh watching him go upstairs.
I turned to the butler,
“Find out where he went to, who knows he might have caused some trouble there.”
The butler stood confused,
“Why Sir?
“To clean up his mess?” I answered and dismissed the butler.
The night was peaceful, I carefully did the work from the office before drifting off to sleep.
Two days later…….
Arrg! Arrgh!! Arrgh!!!
The alarm screamed jolting me up from my deep sleep, I angrily turned it off,
Yawning, it’s been two days, and I’ve practically been useless these days since the event from the night at the clubhouse I looked forward to him coming every night to the clubhouse but he never came back, and just like that the mystery man was gone, the worst was I couldn’t get that night out of head, I grabbed my phone from the bedside table after it beeped a notification had come in, I swiped down, my eyes popped open, I felt immense anger, the worst was that, the position of a marketer in various companies, all I applied for is yet to give me a feedback. I glance at the day of the eviction, I had less than 2 days to pay off,
The eviction notice again had come in the same way it did the previous week,
I looked out it was evening already, I stood up I was not in the mood to get stuck in here in misery, I grabbed my jacket, and walked out, in anger banging the door,
The clubhouse was still preparing to start for the night, so I went to the bar
“Two shots of vodka, please” I threw my bag on the counter
“Are you sure? The bartender noticed that I was not in anywhere near a good mood.
“Two shots!” I rolled my eyes, took one of the shots from him, and gulped it down my throat, the hotness from the drink nearly burnt my throat,
“Be careful.” The bartender cooed, his eye I could see he wanted something, I handed him a tip, and drank a shot after, and in no time, my vision split and made me feel dizzy.
I grabbed my purse, with a bottle in my hands, coming down I missed a step and stumbled, as I balanced myself, I raised my gaze the figure walked in,
“Is he the one? I asked myself ” “You’re so dead, Sydney.”
I looked up again to be sure he was the same person or it’s the alcohol playing pranks on my eyes, and this time I was certain this was the face I never imagined I’d see again was standing before me in his glory, I smiled about to hug him in my sober state but what he did next startled me,
“Excuse me, Miss?” I know I was quite drunk but I was sane at the same time.
“You? Don’t you remember me again? My heart shattered into a million pieces, why would I think he would remember me?
He walked past me, brushing his shoulders against me, causing me to fall,
He sat on the chair and ordered a drink,
“One please” I have had enough, if he was going to pretend to not know me then I might as well do something to make him sober of his actions.
