Billionaire’s Side Attraction

Chapter Twenty Two

Javier Lorenzo

To love and be loved is the best feeling in the world; I never truly understood this statement until I met Lula Lopez. I often hear of people finding love in the weirdest of places and times, but I never thought it’d happen to me. Lula took me by storm and just like a bulldozer, she brought down the walls I had set up to keep me from getting hurt.

Images of her naked body flashed through my mind, causing me to have a hard-on just for her. How her pink nipples become harder when I suck on them, or how the paradise between her legs is the sweetest thing I have ever tasted. Lula Lopez was a drug I was gradually getting addicted to. This time, unlike other drugs, I never want to stop.

The cops couldn’t find Rosa, but they found the abandoned warehouse with those men inside; one of the men was still alive, and he confessed to kidnapping Lula. The database showed that they are ex-convicts. And it turns out that Rosa’s family deals in illegal merchandise. I never knew this about her, but I can understand why she never told me. It just bugs me that a lady I would have spent forever with was keeping such horrible truth from me. If I had not ended the engagement, things would have taken a different turn and I would have been the fool.

Lula wanted to cut the trip short and return to her home, I on the other hand suggested that we finish what we started just like my Abuela always says. I got Lula’s car sent down to Dallas fully fixed, and of course, I got us new phones. There was never anything wrong with our cards, Rosa played her game well but unfortunately for her, it backfired.

After finishing at the Dallas police station, Lula and I marched out of the building like heroes in movies. I can picture the slow-motion thing going on in the background as we got into her car. I sat in the passenger seat while she took her place in the driver’s seat. We locked lips for a minute or two, hungrily sucking each other’s tongues. Then, she turned on the ignition, revved up the engine, and before you can say ‘Jack’, we were back on the highway heading to Houston. Less than four hours later, we were there… finally! Lula drove through a beautiful street and parked her car in front of a house that looked like an ancestral home.

After two knocks on the door, someone opened it and a girl appeared. She looked to be in her late twenties and from the aura, it didn’t seem like she and Lula were fond of each other. The girl accessed Lula from head to toe, then her eyes turned to me, and she adjusted her hair. “What do you both want?”

“Where is Aunty?” Lula asked, peeping inside the house.

“She is gone.” The girl answered nonchalantly.

“Gone as in…?”

The girl creased her forehead. “Gone as in dead, Lulu!”© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Lula’s shoulders dropped at the news, I could tell that she and her aunt were close. “And you didn’t tell anyone?”

The girl rolled her eyes. “She wanted it so. Now, if you don’t have anything else to say, I’ll be inside-”

Lula held her hand, “What is wrong with you, Paulita?!”

The girl yanked her arm out of Lula’s hold. “Let go of me, bitch!” She shoved Lula and that was when I intervened.

“Fuck you, Paula! You’re a selfish asshole!”

Paula smirked, “My mother didn’t think so when she left me this house. So, as the legal owner, I’ll tell you this again…” She came face to face with Lula, “GET OUT or I’ll call the cops. And take your new boyfriend with you.”

I held Lula by her hand and urged her back to the car, but she was refusing to move. She wanted to go face-to-face with Paula but I stopped her.

Paula continued: “I saw your photos on the internet, I’m glad Carlos finally got rid of you, he deserves better than your ugly face!”

Lula pulled out of my hold and returned to the porch. “Say that again, say it one more time! Tell me how you have always been jealous of me… who’s the one with an ugly face, huh?!” She grasped Paula by her top while Paula gripped her neck. They got into a catfight and all I could do was stand by, making sure they didn’t do damage to each other. I’m sure one of Paula’s neighbors had started calling the police. gosh! Why does trouble follow us wherever we fucking go?

Lula threw her cousin on the ground several times until the latter begged for mercy. I had never pictured Lula as a fighter, but that experience changed my perspective-don’t judge a book by its freaking cover.

“Enough, Lu…” I dragged her out of the combat before she’d go to jail for murdering her bloody cousin. We got back in the car; this time, I drove. I checked google maps for a restaurant and found one close by. I took us there and led her inside. She was a raging mess. Her breathing was hitched with the anger in her chest. We sat opposite each other at a table and I ordered coffee for a start, hopefully, she’ll want to eat something after venting out.

Just as we were busy sipping our coffee, someone approached our table. I was the first to see her. She had blonde hair and bright green eyes. Her hair flowed down in wavy curls and her teal dress clung to her figure. She looked at Lula with recognition in her eyes.

“Lula?” The girl called.

Lula looked up and noticed the girl. Her demeanor switched from angry to enraged: “Why are you here, what do you want from me?”

The girl’s expression turned sad. “Oh, come on Lula, don’t be like this”

Lula stood up. “What do you mean by that, Celia?!”
