Beverly

Chapter 25

Beverly Carington

“Hey Beverly.” Sean smiled at me and I smiled back.

“Hey Sean.” I said and we’re waiting for Mr. Han first. We stood side by side and I sighed.

“You should be happy that we’re not dealing with Peter again.” Sean said and I nodded.

“Peter is annoying but his boss is more annoying.”

“You know Clyde Dante?” Sean asked and I nodded.

“Old friend.” I smiled and he nodded.

“Well… isn’t it more comfortable to work with an old friend?”

“Well we’re not exactly friends… but we used to.” I said and Sean nodded. There’s a car stopped in front of us and Mr. Han got out from the car.

“Let’s go.” He said and we walked towards the Morning Glory cafe. Mr. Han walked in first and then Sean opened the door for me. I smiled and thanked him. We walked side by side again.

I saw Clyde and Vin already at the table. We walked there and Sean pulled the chair out for me.

“You don’t have hands?” Clyde asked me coldly and I ignored him. I thanked Sean for it and sat across Vin. Mr. Han sat across Clyde and Sean sat beside me.

“You two know each other?” Mr. Han asked.

“We used to be friends.”

“Old friend.” We answered it at the same time.

“Oh. Let’s order first.” Mr. Han said and Sean gave me the menu first.

“I don’t know what to eat…”

“How about your favorite tuna sandwich here?” Sean asked and I turned to him smiling.

“I almost forgot about it. I want that.”

“As usual, you love tuna so much.” Sean chuckled. I closed the menu because I don’t need to read any other things.

“You fought with Peter again yesterday?” Vin asked.

“Well yeah, he’s stubborn and I can’t believe you replace him with someone who is equally stubborn and annoying.” I smiled to Vin and Mr. Han poked me. I turned to him and he gestured me to shut up.

“May I take your order please?” The waitress asked.

“One tuna sandwich and one english breakfast.” Sean said and then the waitress asked the others.

“Make the tuna sandwich two.” Clyde said and at the same time his phone rang. I tried to not look at him.

“Hey Anna.” My body froze hearing it and I just acted like nothing happen.

“I’m in a meeting, I’ll call you later.” He said and ended the call.

“Girlfriend, Mr. Dante?” Mr. Han asked.

“Yes.” Clyde answered. Suddenly Sean gave me his suit for me to cover my thighs. I smiled and thanked him. Sean is a gentleman and it’s not weird for us to see him being nice to girls. Girls love a gentleman like him.

“So… Mr. Dante, what is the meeting about?”

“I want us to do the project in my place. Everyday, we talk and work it out in my office.” He said and I sighed. Please Mr. Han save me. I turned my head to Clyde.

“I think that’s a good idea.”Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

“We need to finish this project by the end of the month and I think it’s better for us to work together and be together all the time.” He said and I closed my eyes. I took a big breath. I wanted to kill him so bad.

“Okay… starting tomorrow, you two will go to his place.”

“We can work from 10 to 5 o’clock and as usual… lunch time from 12-1. 30.” Clyde said to Han and I just stayed silent.

“Okay… that’s a great idea.” Han said and I just can’t say anything. He’s my boss and I need to obey him. Our food came and my eyes lit up when I saw my favorite breakfast menu.

“You’re so happy, aren’t you?” Sean chuckled looking at me.

“You know how much I love tuna.” I said and he nodded.

“I’m sick of you two flirting all the time.” Vin hissed.

“Be professional. Flirt when you two are alone not in public.” Clyde said coldly and I turned to him nodding.

“Yes, sir.”

“Good.”

“She still need a lot of learning but her skills is really good.” Han said to Clyde and I sighed hearing it.

“Be professional.” He said it again and I nodded again. Han and Clyde started to talk about another project and I ate my sandwich in silent.

“Here.” Sean gave me his bacon.

“Your favorite bacon.” Sean said and I smiled.

“Thankyou.”

“Beverly, Joseph asked me your phone number. Can I givr it to him?” Vin asked me suddenly.

“For what?” I asked and Vin raised his shoulder completely don’t know for what.

“You can.” I said and I took out the tomato in my sandwich. I gave it to Sean without saying anything. He knew that I hate tomato so I always give him without saying anything.

After finish eating, we all got out from the cafe.

“I want you to give me details about the parking lot.” Suddenly Clyde said to me.

“I will send you through email.”

“No… I said email, send me through text.” He said and I looked up to me. He smirked.

“I will send you.” Sean said and Clyde turned his head yo Sean glaring.

“I’m asking her… not you.”

“Don’t even think about it.” Han said to Sean.

“Yes, Mr. Dante.”

“Tomorrow, 10-5 o’clock people.” Clyde said it once again and I nodded.

“See you tomorrow then.” Han said and Sean put his hand to my back gesturing me to walk to the car. I turned my body without looking back to Clyde.

“I can do it for you… if you want.”

“No… I’m going to be fine.” I smiled to him.

“Okay then.”

“Thankyou Sean…”

“For what?”

“Taking care of me.”
