Chapter 11

ANNABELLE

The moment I heard that the Luna sought me, and it was quite urgent, I immediately stood up from my bed as I didn’t want to offend the Luna any longer. Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

I followed Lady Emily’s maid through a series of stairs and passages until she stopped.

“Lady Emily and the Luna are in there.” She pointed at the strong wooden door and bowed slightly before leaving me.

I knocked twice, and when I didn’t get any response, I quietly opened the door, peeking my head through the door to see if anyone was inside.

Strangely, the room was dark, so I couldn’t fathom if anyone was in there or not.

“Lady Emily?” I called out, and I could hear my voice echoing through the whole room.

“Luna Sandra?” I called out again, and when I didn’t hear a voice or a response, I turned my back wanting to leave when I heard a voice from the room and the lights immediately switched on.

“Lady Emily?”

“Come on in,” she invited. “The Luna is waiting for you in the

inner room.

“Oh great.” I followed her inside the almost empty room to the inner room, and the moment my whole body was inside the inner dark room, I heard the sound of a door closing which startled me.

“Lady Emily?” I called for her, as I couldn’t see a thing in this inner room.

“Foolish girl, I knew you would fall for my trap. Let me see how you will attend the party now that you’re my new prisoner!” I heard Lady Emily laugh hysterically.

“Don’t you worry, you won’t be here for long. Oh my, you might be here forever because I will make sure you rot in here until you die of hunger and thirst!” She continued laughing hysterically.

“It was so easy to trap you. So gullible. You think you can come into this castle and take

the attention of the Alpha from me? You, you bitch who was used and rejected by her own fated mate? You think you can come destroy my own? I will make sure you die in here.

I banged the door, trying to break it down, but strangely it was so strong and was made of steel. I screamed for help.

“If you like, try to break down this door or shout. No one would hear you. I’ve made sure we’re in the most abandoned, forgotten wing of the castle. You’re completely at my mercy, and no one will ever think to look for you here. You’re trapped, and I’m the only one who knows you’re even here.”

“Please, let me out. I beg of you,” I cried. I hated darkness. Being in the dark traumatizes me, though I don’t know why, but somehow, being in the dark makes me so scared, like as if I’d been trapped in a dark room before in my past life, or perhaps a memory I might have forgotten.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk, sorry dear and bye. I hope to see your dead body soon.” And with that, she left the room, locking the door in the process. I fell to the ground, crying, feeling alone and hopeless.

**3RD POV**

Lady Emily walked all the way to Lady Annabelle’s room, and when she reached, she was shocked to see Lady Annabelle’s maid in the room.

“Lady Emily? Isn’t Lady Annabelle with you?”

“Huh?” Lady Emily exclaimed, “Uhm, no, um, yeah, yeah, she’s currently with the Luna right now. I was told to get the dress Alpha Derek bought for her. Apparently, she would be dressing up with the Luna.” She lied smoothly, not wanting Lady Annabelle’s maid to suspect a thing.

“Don’t you worry about your dear Lady Annabelle, she’s in safe hands. Hand me the dress.”

Omega May looked at Lady Emily with a suspicious look, but because she dared not disobey Lady Emily, she passed the dress Alpha Derek had gifted her lady to Lady Emily.

servants in the castle. Allow me to follow you, my Lady.” Omega May bowed slightly.

Π

“Oh dear, not to worry. I will make sure your Lady is well dressed with the right servant, you don’t need to worry, and one more thing, you mustn’t tell Alpha Derek about this.”

“But Lady Emil-

“If you do, I will make sure your stay at the castle is insufferable.”

The moment Lady Emily left the room with the dress, it was then that Omega May knew something was wrong.

Lady Emily smiled as she held the dress in her hands. She knew just what she would do to it. She immediately entered her room and brought out the scissors she had kept in her cupboard and cut the dress into pieces. As she tore the dress, an evil smile grew on her face.

“Let me see how you will survive in this castle now that the Alpha knows nothing of where you are… You think you can just waltz your way into my home and try to destroy it…”

When she was done destroying the expensive dress bought by the Alpha for his slave, she packed it in a bag and made her way to the abandoned dark room where she had locked Annabelle in.

She looked around and when she found no sign of anyone, she immediately opened the door and made her way in.

Meanwhile, as Annabelle heard the door unlock, she immediately found hope and a weak smile grew on her face.

“Is anyone there? Please, help me!” She banged on the door, wanting the person who was at the door to help her out.

“Help!”

“Shut it, you fool!” Lady Emily yelled as she opened the inner room door. When she entered, she brought out the pieces of clothes and threw them at Annabelle before turning on the light so that Annabelle would see just what she had thrown at her.

When Annabelle caught sight of the pieces of clothes that were thrown at her, her heart

immediately tore into pieces and more tears fell from her eyes.

“Isn’t this the dress the Alpha gifted me?” she cried.

“Exactly, I wanted you to see the design I made of the dress. Don’t you like it? You should be happy I’m being lenient towards you.”

“But… But…

“At least, you can attend the party here. You’re just a lowly slave; you shouldn’t have the liberty to attend a higher–class party like the rest of us. This is where you belong, this abandoned room is what fits you the most. Next time, you will know your place. Fool!”

Just as Lady Emily’s cruel words hung in the air, the sound of footsteps echoed outside the room. The door burst open, and a figure strode in.
