Chapter 8
Chapter 8 Where Is She?
*In the Worthington Group Office*
Leah handed in her design draft online. Soon after, Eli, the assistant, printed it and rushed to Quentin's office.
"Mr. Worthington, you might be right. Quintina is at Lia Jewellery."
"Show me what you got!"
Quentin took the design draft from Eli. After carefully reading it, he was convinced that the style of this design draft was very similar to Quintina's.
Harry, standing nearby, leaned over to look curiously. When he saw the design clearly, his eyes widened.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
"No way! Did you really find her? But nobody knew where Quintina was. It's strange."
Quentin replied calmly, "She probably doesn't want to be found."
"Then what should we do?" Harry rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
Quentin pondered for a moment and then said, "Sharon's birthday is on the 8th next month. I'll invite a lot of people, including the boss of Lia Jewellery. Let's talk and see what we can dig out." Harry thought it was a good idea, but then he frowned as something crossed his mind.
"You don't actually like Sharon, do you? Just for benefits, right? But she's so much better than your ex-wife and amazing in every way... If you two get married, her talent and prestigious family will give you a huge boost. Well, not bad."
Quentin glanced at Harry sideways, furrowed his brows, and said, "Yeah, I don't really like Sharon, but I don't need what she has either. I'm just using her as an excuse." "An excuse? To divorce? Why?" Harry looked puzzled.
"Leah and I only got hitched for my grandma's sake. We can't stand each other. It's better to get a quick divorce than be stuck in a miserable marriage," Quentin stated.
Quentin recalled a memory from
before their divorce. One day, Leah got sick with a fever. While she was out of it, she mumbled a man's name. Thinking about it made Quentin feel a bit uneasy. Harry nodded in understanding.
"I understand. But with the way you've been acting lately, I don't think you..." He wanted to say that Quentin had feelings for Leah However, Quentin's stern gaze cut him off.
"Think twice before jumping to conclusions."
Harry laughed awkwardly and said, "Alright. I won't bring it up again."
Quentin looked away and lowered his eyes. Nobody knew what he was thinking.
Meanwhile, Leah was browsing the internet for information. Suddenly, she came across news of Ethan's remarkable success in the Harrison Project.
A faint smile of pride appeared on her face. Her brother was the best.
Ethan had achieved such incredible things in his career. Leah wanted to buy him a gift to congratulate him.
But what should she get?
Leah gently rubbed her chin, pondering for a long time, but couldn't come up with any ideas. After all, Leah and Ethan had everything they needed. Finally, Leah decided to go to a shopping mall after work.
After finishing work, Leah headed to the largest shopping mall in Ocanni City. She took the elevator and entered the men's accessories section. There were watches, belts, ties... Leah was overwhelmed by the variety of goods.
She stood in the mall, thinking for a while. Ties were always in demand.
In the end, she opted to get Ethan a tie.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she approached the tie store, a scornful voice stopped her track.
"Miss Wilson? Oh, you looking to a tie too? This ain't your typical
like
store. Can you still afford sta
this after divorcing Mr.
Worthington?"
